Abstract
The most vexing problem for digital communication system designers and testing engineers is the control and measurement of jitter. The paper first introduces the concept of modulation domain and the principle of phase progression digitization as well as the modulation domain measurement method of jitter. Secondly, the authors give the structure of the jitter measurement system design using zero-dead-time (ZDT) counters. At last they give a simulation experiment of jitter measurement.<>
