  • Abstract
In this paper, we present analysis and performance characteristics of cell averaging and ordered statistics distributed CFAR detectors. Both two-sensor and three-sensor distributed systems are considered. For equal window-length CFAR sensors, it is shown that optimal threshold multipliers are also equal. Performance characteristics of both CA and OS detectors are presented in homogeneous backgrounds as well as in regions of clutter power transitions and in multiple target environments
