  • Abstract
    We will highlight four projects related, to monitoring in high performance networks. 1. Chromatic dispersion monitor using vestigial-sideband optical filtering. 2. Chromatic dispersion monitoring using clock regeneration and fading. 3. Wide-dynamic-range differential group delay monitoring by partial optical signal spectrum degree of polarisation measurement. 4. Polarisation mode dispersion monitoring in WDM systems for NRZ data using a chromatic-dispersion-regenerated clock.
