Abstract
The influence of orthogonal feedback on the polarization-resolved light versus bias current characteristic of vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers is studied. It was found that weak orthogonal feedback only affects the polarization-switching point. Simulations based on the spin-flip model are in good agreement with the observations.
