Competitive Analysis on Financial Leasing Problem

In the on-line financial leasing problem, an on-line player, who is the leaser, is given the job of deciding whether to buy the equipment initially or to rent it according to the financial leasing contract, without knowing the future interest rates over the whole rental time. This paper studies the on-line financial leasing problem from the perspective of competitive analysis theory. To begin with, based on the formulation of relevant parameters, a Financial Leasing Competitive Algorithm is established. Following that, corollary and numerical examples concerning competitive analysis for this algorithm are given. Finally, some future research directions are pointed out.
