Abstract
Resistivity tomography has been the one of most powerful geophysical tools in detecting a fault in urban area. According to our results from several regions in China, we have generalized the features of the discontinuity of electrical structure in a resistivity tomogram. They could be divided into three types - type AB, ABA and AC and their typical resistivity images are presented. We expect to be helpful in detecting a fault in urban area in the future.
