Abstract
Digital city is the basic unit of digital earth and China, and upwards controls sky, downwards controls underground, will become the nerve center of complex giant city system. This paper analysis the connotation and significance of digital city, discuss the system architecture, and compares with the composition of geographic information system from hardware, software, data and staff, finally studys key technologies of digital city, hoping to will benefit from the establishment of digital city.
