Abstract
A highly efficient modeling method for SHG is devised by studying the quasi phase matching (QPM) SHG in periodically poled potassium titanyl phosphate (PPKTP). The model can be used for monochromatic and multifrequency SHG. The bandwidth of the pump can be a limiting factor, intensified by its hardly studied spectral coherence.
