Abstract
In this work, for the first time, we report on a design of an efficient, single-mode, continuous-wave, and low-threshold with high conversion efficiency, 1.3 μm photonic crystal fiber (PCF) Raman laser employing three nested Raman cavities. To design FRL, we have considered a highly nonlinear PCF (HNPCF) that has small effective mode area thus gives a high Raman gain efficiency of 8.3 W-1.km-1 for a 1455 nm depolarized pump at least 20 times larger than the conventional optical fibers.
