Abstract
Cognitive radio (CR) is one of the most effective techniques to improve the spectrum utilization efficiency. In order to detect the presence of the spectrum holes and utilize them efficiently without causing interference to primary users, interference temperature estimation is considered as the key functionality. In this paper, we proposed a new interference temperature estimation method in OFDM based on the detection directions of arrival (DOA) sources in every resource element (RE) band. The derivation and simulation result shows that our proposed scheme can heighten the channel utilization of CR users.
