  • Abstract
The effects of higher-order dispersions (HOD) on the chirped-pulse oscillator (CPO) stability have been analyzed numerically. It was found, that a local spectral maximum of group delay dispersion (GDD) as well as a "slope" in the frequency-dependence of GDD suppress the stability. On the contrary, a GDD local minimum strengthens the stability. A character of the destabilization changes in the presence of HOD: the cw-amplification is suppressed but the pulse suffers from strong and irregular pulsations. It is concluded that the control of the GDD spectral shape can improve the Kerr-lens mode-locked Ti:Sa CPO stability and provide the control of the pulse chirp and spectrum.
