Abstract
Pressure sensitive analog switches are widely used in electrical and electronic apparatus. In this paper, a novel pressure sensitive resistor has been prepared, which is composed of a thin conductive layer and a semiconductive layer. Pressure dependence of resistance in the resistor has been investigated. The resistance has been measured as a function of composition in the conductive layer, pressure and electrical field. In the experimental results, the contact resistance varies inversely to the amount of pressure applied to depress the resistor. The resistance is also decreased with increasing DC voltage applied to the resistor at a constant pressure. The resistor is shown to be a useful device as a pressure sensitive analog switch
