Abstract
The class E amplifierpsilas amplitude modulation mainly relies on the collector DC voltage variations, and the relation between the output signalpsilas envelop and the modulating signal is linear in theory, but this is actually impossible. Because of the time-variant property of the load network, the analysis of class E amplifier is somehow difficult. In this paper, a DC analysis model for collector AM is proposed from a new viewpoint of equivalent average DC response. The main reasons dividing into 4 parts which will cause the distortion of collector AM are analyzed here. After the discussion, the bandwidth of the AM is obtained, and this model is also validated by some simulation results.
