After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.

In recent years, accidents of production become frequent along with the social and economic development in China. Safety in production becomes increasingly important. To explore the correlations between socioeconomic development and production accidents, we collect data of accidents in production which occurred in 2006 in 31 provinces and municipalities directly under the central government in China, and analyze the correlation between GDP per capita and data of accidents in production. The result shows that with the growth of GDP per capita in a certain region, the probability of accident in production grows, while the impact thereof declines.
