Abstract
The existing safety guarantee systems for the railway operation in China only focus on upgrading their information technology, while their auto-control and intelligent capacity are relatively low and the auxiliary decision making capacity is poor. Knowledge Discovery in Data Bases (KDD) enables us to find out potentially useful information from mass database so that the decision will be more accurate. Applying knowledge discovery to decision making of railway operation safety can improve the intelligent, real-time and integration performance of the system. This paper applies case-based reasoning to accident treatment, and shows important significance to assist the decision making for train running safety.
