Abstract
Experimental and theoretical studies of probe beam reflectivity oscillations from single-crystal bismuth excited by fs-laser pulses are presented. Pump-probe technique with accuracy of 10-5 and time-resolution of 35 fs is used to measure the reflectivity. Results show that reflectivity oscillations are related to the atomic vibrations predominantly via electron-phonon coupling.
