Abstract
The beep tone detection within RTP streams is an essential part in voicemail and other recording systems related to SIP/RTP. This Paper presents a nonlinear approach to detect beep tone based on the Teager-Kaiser (TK) Energy Operator which is played for generic tone detection using FM-AM modulation technique, and on the Discrete Energy Separation Algorithm (DESA) which is acted as a decoupler dividing the crossterms into frequency and amplitude components. Then, a independent project is provided to cache the RTP streams from the SIP server. Meanwhile, for the given threshold values on frequency and amplitude, it will do the beep tone detect analysis which will output a statistical datatable including success rate and error rate for beep tone validation.
