Abstract
The huge demand for frequency bands and the expected growth in wireless technologies required attention to how to utilize the limited frequency spectrum. This paper addresses the need for an adaptive and resilient Quality of Service provisioning framework for Cognitive Radio Networks. The paper presents a cross-layer framework that relies on several protocol modules. The proposed framework is an important step towards a generalized framework that deals with the unique characteristics of CRNs.
