  • Abstract
Single-Particle Microbeam (SPM) is uniquely capable of precisely delivering a predefined number of charged particles (precise doses of radiation) to individual cells or sub-cellular targets in situ. Here, we scrutinize and formulate the application of calibration and cell registration, image stitching, standard irradiation protocols, and give a critical review of the related pivotal evolution during developing the high-localized single-particle/singlecell assay for low doses irradiation in vitro at the CAS-LIBB SPM at the Key Laboratory of Ion beam Bioengineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS-LIBB).
