Abstract
In this paper, a winding function theory based method of predicting the rotor bar and end ring current waveforms of a brush dc equivalent (BDCE) controlled cage rotor multi-phase induction machine is presented. Steady state analytically calculated and FEA results from an arbitrary chosen nine-phase induction machine are given. The analytical method is proved to useful in the performance evaluation of BDCE controlled multiphase induction machines.
