Abstract
It is reported on new results in creation of highly stable lasers including compact diode-pumped crystal lasers with narrow radiation line and high long-term frequency stability (of the order of 10/sup -13/-10/sup -14/). The immediate prospects of creation of lasers with long-term stability and frequency reproducibility at the level of 10/sup -16/-10/sup -17/ are considered.<>
