  • Abstract
    The data on investigation of metrological characteristics of transportable He-Ne/CH/sub 4/ frequency standard (/spl lambda/=3.39 /spl mu/m) with the long-term stability of 5/spl middot/10/sup -15/ are presented. As the frequency reference we used the second-order Doppler-free resonance of cold CH/sub 4/-molecules with the halfwidth of 5 kHz on the 7-6 transition of magnetic hyperfine structure of methane. The results of comparison of the laser frequency standard with the frequency of unperturbed 7-6 transition and cesium beam are presented.<>
