Abstract
The convergence of modified spatial domain decomposition methods is studied in this paper. In particular, the case of spatial domain decompositions with extended domains is considered. The inclusion of a relaxation parameter to achieve a better convergence in certain cases is also included in the formulation. Several examples are shown to validate the analytic formulation that is presented.
