  • Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the impact of channel environment and bandwidth on the Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) and Reference Signal Received Quality (RSRQ) measurement. Long Term Evolution (LTE) downlink simulation platform is set up to illustrate algorithms and results. Meanwhile algorithms of RSRP, Receive Strength Signal Indicator (RSSI) and RSRQ are proposed in the base of definitions and the availability of the proposed algorithm was confirmed by simulation platform. In order to reflect the real strength of signal, noise intensity has to be eliminated to calculate RSRP. Also RSRQ which expresses the relation between signal and noise should be fully utilized. Moreover simulation results on different Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR), bandwidth and distance are showed.
