Abstract
The paper is focused on the design, and analysis of robust controllers for plasma vertical position speed system in the Fusion Energy Advanced Tokamak (FEAT) as a last version of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) project. The basic trend of the controller design is maximization of the closed loop system robust stability margin subject to the specified restrictions. Robust controllers should give a chance to achieve a high degree of FEAT operation reliability and safety. The SISO H∞ controllers designed have given noticeably larger robust stability margins and better robust performance at the set of FEAT key scenario points in comparison with proportional, LQG, and lead-lag controllers. All SISO controllers compared have shown similar plasma vertical position speed performance at the same disturbances
