This article proposes a new idea of entrepreneurship, which explains how entrepreneurship can help resolve the environmental problems of global socio-economic systems. Austrian theory of entrepreneurship suggests that market disequilibrium provides entrepreneurial opportunities. As a kind of market disequilibrium, environmental degradation, therefore, represents opportunities for environmental entrepreneurs. However, there is a series of barriers preventing the exploitation of such opportunities. This article will introduce how entrepreneurs can overcome barriers from asymmetrical and incomplete information as well as public goods to exploit entrepreneurial opportunities resulting from environmental degradation. This exploitation will decrease environmental degradation.
