Abstract
This paper analyses remainder signs determinant issue in the computer fixed-point division operation. Together with the manual binary number division, the true code addition and subtraction alternating bit-division algorithm and complement code addition and subtraction alternating bit-division algorithm are discussed to explore the rule. The conclusion is drawn that the remainder sign is determined by the dividend both in the fixed-point true code bit-division and complement code bit-division operation.
