Abstract
The chief aim of this paper is to analysis the spatial gain of array used in underwater measurement. The spatial gains of both uniform linear array and array with constant beam width are analyzed by means of computer emulation based on the theory of information processing. The priority research area is the study of factors affecting space gain and frequency invariant character of multi hydrophone array including the inconsistency of the amplitudes and phases among sensors and their position error in array. The conclusion can be used in parameter selection and performance estimation in the design stage of frequency invariant array, even in the practice application of arrays with constant beam width.
