  • Abstract
    Now a days global warming has become a threat to every individual. One of the main causes of global warming is carbon dioxide emissions. One source of carbon dioxide is the burning of fossil fuels to produce electricity from power plants. Burning of gasoline in vehicles and airplanes also contributes to large amounts of carbon dioxide being released into the atmosphere. The major sources of green house gases like carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide and methane all lead to global climate changes. To face this global threat an important factor is Sustainable Development, which does not focus solely on environmental issues but includes economic development, social development, and environmental protection for the near future. Hence different applications of renewable energies are the most important and promising solutions towards global warming. There is however more development yet to be done in different areas of these renewable energies in order to make them more commercialized, even in domestic market places, by reducing the cost of the different technologies. To date many renewable energy sources are available in the marketplace and this paper is focused on wind energy resources and its commercialization aspects worldwide. This paper will also focus on constraints against this renewable energy applications right up to the door-step of every individual.
