Abstract
Presents three fast procedures for the design of SAW filters: (1) optimal design of a SAW (surface-acoustic-wave) transducer with arbitrary frequency response using a weighted least-squares-error criterion; (2) geometrical layout of an overlap-apodized transducer allowing for end-of-finger and end-of-array effects; and (3) design of a withdrawal-weighted transducer to match a desired impulse response. These three procedures have been incorporated in a SAW design package implemented on a desktop computer
