  • Abstract
We consider several variants of the small satellites´ application in respect to a passive radio monitoring of the terrestrial radiation sources. To analyze few variants of small satellites´ constellation we carried out the mathematical modeling in Satellite Tool Kit (STK) and MATLAB. The purpose of modeling is to obtain the space system characteristics, such as the number of small satellites, parameters of their orbits, their altitude and spatial separation. We proposed criteria for their comparison; the better one was chosen using the simulation results. Also the influence of the mutual location of the radiation source and satellites on the coordinates´ estimation accuracy was considered.
