Abstract
In this paper, a multi-DSP based video processing system is designed, in which one TMS320C6455 and two TMS320DM642 Sproduced by TI are used as kernel processors. Several functions have been implemented, such as video stabilization, de interlace, image enhancement and H.264 encoding. In order to ensure the performance and flexibility of this system, direct connection of Video Ports, loosely coupled cascade between EMIF and Host Port Interface as well as master DMA mode are used in communication design, which realizes communication between two DM642S, between DM642 and C6455 as well as between the PCI board and Host. This system is simple and has an excellent flexibility because shared memory structure is not used in the hardware design. At last, the whole performance of this system is validated by several experiments.
