Abstract
Delay profiles of indoor multipath environment at 60 GHz were measured. Packets included preamble with two m-sequences were used for measurement. Time-delay resolution of delay profiles was 1 ns. The measurement results showed that multipath delayed waves at 60 GHz were separable. The delayed waves with high relative powers of about -10 dB existed when transmitter or receiver were located near concrete walls or steel walls. The delayed waves degraded the error vector magnitude (EVM). The EVM was improved using a simple equalizer with the tap coefficients calculated from delay profiles. The measurement results of the indoor multipath environment were similar to the simulation results using the ray tracing method with measured reflectance of material. The multipath delayed waves of a indoor multipath environment can be predicted using the ray tracing method
