  • Abstract
    The answer to the question: how to avoid catastrophic effects of years of mounting pollution spurred by exploding human population and reckless industrial growth, the following key initiatives must be accomplished: life cycle analyses must become comprehensive and rigorous for evaluation of alternatives important to environmental decisions faced by corporations as well as regional and global organizations. For this purpose, activity modeling (a part of the synergy methodology) has been developed and proven to be comprehensive and rigorous through a variety of system and process improvement applications in industry. Economics is fundamental to the success of all Eco-Enterprises. Just meeting regulations through abatement of pollution or payment of environmental fines is no longer sufficient. Environmental issues must be integrated into the very core of corporate competitive strategy and actions. The synergy methodology of focusing on the strategy systems, and processes through the comprehensive and rigorous activity modeling and product life cycle economic modeling provides a sound basis for corporations to transform strategy, systems and processes into the evolving new paradigm: The Paradigm `E´
