Abstract
In Ad hoc networks, routing protocols usually don´t take the energy of nodes into account during routing discovery process, and the route path may become sub-optimal path because of node mobility, it also increases the consumption of energy. This paper proposed an energy saving routing protocol based on AODV. In routing discovering process, the protocol takes the residual energy of nodes and the node mobility as criteria. It also can find shorter route path and compress path. Simulation results show that the proposed protocol achieves better network service performance compared to current protocols.
