  • Abstract
The key challenges faced by the wireless network are fading and interference. Fading is the time variation of channel strength due to environmental effect. Interference limits the capacity of spectral resource. Fading can be mitigated with cooperative transmission, as it helps to achieve diversity among user, whereas Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) technique exploits interference by jointly processing the user data. Cooperative communication is type of antenna diversity among other diversity technique and there are different cooperation protocols for various scenarios. We present a review of currently known technique for Multi user MIMO cooperation and consideration of research issues related to performance. The study includes models for network, grouping and partner selection algorithm, coded cooperation and finally adaptive technique for power and bandwidth efficiency.
