Abstract
A control technique called the bi-frequency control is proposed. This technique enables a converter to regulate its output by operating at two harmonically related frequencies and achieve the ZCS or ZVS without the auxiliary switch. The resulting power spectrum resembles that of a constant frequency PWM controlled converter. The authors apply this technique to the ZCS boost converter and the current driven full-bridge ZVS resonant converter (CDFBZVS), and the computer simulations and experimental results verify the analytical results
