Abstract
This paper makes an empirical analysis through the methods of principal component analysis and regression analysis. Firstly, the paper achieves the dimensional reduction of indicators of regional innovation system by the principal component analysis, to calculate comprehensive scores of the four factors. And then it divides the analysis into two stages using the method of regression analysis: the first phase shows that transnational corporations´ R & D investment will have a positive impact on regional innovation system in China. But the degree of influence is different, and the effect on technological innovation is more significant and direct than other factors.
