  • Abstract
    In order to analyze the innovation capability in the complex multiple-attribute environment, a novel approach, used to evaluate the innovation capability of home appliance manufacturers, is presented. Furthermore, based on the assumption of a relationship between specific resources managed by manufacturers and their innovation capability, the authors suggested a reasonable evaluation indicator system, which highlights the sustainable capability and long-term stratagem of innovation. The proposed model, incorporated with the ER-based methodology, can handle uncertain fact and subjective evaluation, and combine the evaluation results from multi-layer efficiently. In the end, a case study is used to illustrate the application of our methodology. The results of this study show that the model can support the evaluation with multi-indicator while both qualitative and quantitative information with or without uncertainties have to be taken into account.
