Abstract
A pressure measurement and analysis system was designed based on the conventional bedsore prevention mattress. The mattress is divided into four areas according to the characteristics of human body and the charging and deflating operations of the air chambers in each area are controlled separately by different pumps. Pressure signals in each area are detected by the system hardware, and then analyzed in the LabVIEW virtual instrument. The areas need to be massaged can be recognized by system, not only according to the magnitudes of pressure signals, but also according to the detected immovability duration of each part. The pressure changes can be visually displayed, and that is useful for clinic observation.
