Abstract
A simple and efficient implementation of multi-split adaptive filtering with complex parameters is introduced. The proposed scheme shares the same butterfly structure as for the case of real-valued data. This approach guarantees a simple and low-cost implementation in VLSI, FPGA or DSP. Simulation results show the performance of the multi-split LMS algorithm in the case of adaptive equalization of a 4-QAM communication system.
