  • Abstract
Several receive antenna designs have been proposed for future military communication satellites to satisfy demands for increased nulling resolution and wide area coverage in support of tactical operations. The paper examines performance of a 61-beam hybrid multi-aperture multiple beam antenna (MA-MBA), an 89-beam outrigger MA-MBA, and an existing single aperture 61-beam MBA. Percent area coverage and network anti-jamming (A/J) margin are the evaluation metrics used in the paper to compare their performance using a representative SHF Defense Satellite Communication System (DSCS) tactical scenario
