Abstract
To improve the network and its service reliability, and the availability and management in today´s high-speed heterogeneous networks, a model of the mobile agent architecture based heterogeneous network management is proposed. Firstly, the model architecture which provides centralized information management for the heterogeneous network is described. Secondly, an information exchange interface is defined, which is used to exchange information between heterogeneous domains and inside a domain. The model, which integrates congestion control and QoS control, can provide support for the management of distributed network management with end-to-end QoS constraint, covering configuration management, fault management and performance management
