Abstract
The paper proposes a methodology for distributed operational decision support. The methodology integrates technologies for ontology & context management, constraint satisfaction, and user profiling. It consists in building an ontology-based model of the problem to be solved by the decision maker, formalization of the problem with a set of constraints, instantiation with the data values provided by environmental information sources, and interpretation of this problem as a constraint satisfaction problem. Two types of context are used for problem modelling: abstract and operational
