  • Abstract
Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is one of multi criteria decision making methods. It is especially suitable for complicated decisions involving the comparison of decision elements which are difficult to quantify. This paper is mainly focused on the construction of comprehensive evaluation index system (CEIS) of county characteristic industrial cluster (CCIC) by using AHP. It first presents the construction principle of index system, the selection of indicators, the construction of index system, the determination of indicators´ directions and non-dimensionalization. Then it gives a weighting for each indicator and formulates the mathematic model of comprehensive general index based on AHP method and linearity weighted summation (LWS) model. In the end, it analyzes the effectiveness of this model through examples. The result shows that this CEIS not only can evaluate CCIC conveniently, but also is a scientific and rational model.
