Abstract
In this paper, some circuits in A/D conversion using current mode techniques are reported. An 8-bit current mode A/D converter based on a multistage pipeline architecture is designed and simulated using standard 0.8 μm BiCMOS technology. Simulation results show the conversion rate is 355 kHz. A system level structure is proposed and the analysis shows the conversion rate can be increased to 2.5 MHz
