Abstract
The techniques described in this paper were developed to provide simple and inexpensive methods for assessing the operational performance of circuit breakers. The data acquired can be used to allow the power utility to schedule maintenance according to need. By targeting maintenance resources in this manner, the electric utility can increase operational efficiency and reliability while decreasing costs
