Abstract
In the frame of the C/D phase relevant to the design, manufacturing and testing of the inter orbit ink (IOL) antenna of the ARTEMIS satellite (Advanced Technology Mission Satellite), Alenia Spazio is responsible for the complete project, including the procurement of the reflector dish, the APM (antenna pointing mechanism), the HDRM (hold down and release mechanism), the design, manufacturing and test of the S/Ka bands feed and the whole antenna integration and performance prediction. The steering and tracking performance of the IOL antenna are presented, based on the measured primary patterns of a realized breadboard feed.
