Abstract
Learning with tutoring aystems implies large amounts and varied types of information that the tutor should take into account in order to better adapt the learning session to student\´s needs. Managing all this information to optimize learning is not an easy task. This paper claims that "consciousness" mechanisms can help to overcome this problem. We describe how they are implemented and used to effectively diagnose learners\´ errors in the specific context of Canadarm2 manipulation
