Abstract
In this paper, we derive the condition for the optimum training sequence in the terrestrial multipath fading channel in which maximum multipath delay is less than one symbol time. Also, we derive the equivalent condition for an optimum binary training sequence for π/4-shifted DQPSK modulation, and present some examples
